No room for a separate surround sound audio system, but STILL want better sound than you get from a TV?
Sony's RHT-G800 stand features integrated 5.1 surround sound speakers plus twin subwoofers

Unless you've already got a home entertainment center, wall
unit, or other TV furniture that's
got the right dimensions and sturdiness for supporting a new
widescreen high definition television (along with multiple A/V
source components, home theater receiver, and one or more home theater speakers),
buying a separate TV stand or entertainment center to go with your HDTV is pretty much a
given -- unless you plan on wall-mounting your flat panel LCD or
plasma television.
Although they are considerably more compact and lighter weight
than the huge, bulky floor-standing CRT rear projection
TVs of the past, DLP projection televisions are still too
deep to be wall-mounted -- and you can't just sit a DLP TV on
the floor!
Most TV stands will require at least some assembly. Be sure that
all of your HDMI and other audio/video cables are the right lengths
and are video shielded to work well with your television,
furniture, and components.

television
stands and entertainment centers sections at leading consumer
electronic and home furniture web stores.
